Great Chowder Debate Event Volunteers Needed.
Make a difference in the lives of local youth with just a few hours of your time. Have a lot of fun at one of St. Augustine's favorite fall events. Join our event volunteer team!
Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of easy, hands-on tasks before, during and after the event.
Shifts vary based on duties.
Volunteer needs include:
- Set-Up Volunteers (must be able to handle physical duties of setting up tables/chairs, etc.) – 8:00 am – 10:00 am
- Ticket Sales Volunteers (help at the registration desk to sell tasting tickets) - 11:00 – 1:30 or 1:30 – 4:00
- Beer Sales (assist us in raising funds by serving adult beverages, must be 21 or over) – 11:00 – 1:30 or 1:30 – 4:00
- Hotdog Stand Volunteers (support the event by helping sell hot dogs and other items) – 11:00 – 1:30 or 1:30 – 4:00
- "Roamer" Volunteers (be able to jump in as needed or to provide a break for other volunteers) – 11:30 – 2:00
- Judges Tent Volunteers (Serving volunteers help to bring trays of chowder samples to the judges) 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Event Take Down Volunteers (Help us to pack up after the event. Volunteers must be able to handle physical duties of taking down/loading tables/chairs, etc.) – 3:30 – 5:00 pm
